Bibleway Ministries International is openly Apostolic in doctrine and Pentecostal in experience. We exist because of our calling and commission. We are founded on the operation of the Spirit and the Word of God. We believe the Scriptures, rightly explained. These explanations are void of the counsel of religious traditions, modern evangelicalism, and historical Christianity. We divide the Word of truth based on a singular fundamental: the Bible interprets itself. The Bible poses the questions and piques our curiosity. The Bible answers all questions it poses and satisfies all curiosities. We are never without answers. As Jesus said and as Peter affirmed:
John 5:39 (KJV)
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
John 6:68 (KJV)
Doctrinal Synopsis
- We believe and accept the entire Bible as the infallible Word of God. The Bible includes the only perfect order of our faith and way of life, to which nothing can be added to or taken away (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Romans 1:16; Revelation 22:18-19).
- We believe that there is only one God. He is the true and living God. He is the only wise God and he is our Saviour (2 Kings 19:19; 1 Timothy 1:17; Jude 1:25; John 20:28).
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is God. He assumed a human body through a virgin called Mary. In that moment he transitioned from being divine to being both human and divine (John 1:1-14; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 20:28).
- We believe that regeneration is received only through faith in Jesus Christ, who was raised from the dead. For this reason we baptize by immersion in water, in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38, Romans 3:24; 1 Corinthians 1:30; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
- We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues, as the Spirit gives the utterance or the ability to speak (Acts 2:14).
- We believe in commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, also commonly called Communion (Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
- We believe that provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Bible and are privileges for the church in this present age (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16-18; John 5:14; James 5:14).
- We believe in the personal, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ for his church (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54).
The Application Of Faith To Salvation:
- There is one God and the Lord/LORD is that one and only God (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Isaiah 44:6).
- Jesus is the name of the Lord/LORD God (Acts 8:16; Acts 9:6).
- Faith in God’s name brings salvation (John 1:12; Acts 4:12).
- Faith without works is dead (James 2:21,24).
- Repentance is a work – an act of faith on the part of the believer (Luke 15:7; Acts 11:18).
- Baptism is a work – an act of faith on the part of the believer (Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12).
- The outpouring of the Holy Ghost is a work – an act of God in response to the faith and obedience of the believer (Luke 24:49; John 7:38-39).
The Gospel and the Salvation Plan have Three Basic Components
Jesus Christ died for our sins (our wrong doing), was buried for the remission or removal of our sins, and rose from the dead to justify those who believe in him. Because of this, we have hope, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost now, and eternal life after we die (1 Corinthians 15:1-58).
In order to fully benefit from Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, we must identify with him in each stage of his suffering and triumph. Repentance identifies us with his death. Baptism, in his name (Jesus) identifies us with his burial. Receiving the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking with other tongues, identifies us with his resurrection and triumph. Faith without works is dead. Faith with works is life, and to those who believe in Jesus and wait for his appearance, he will appear without sin to redeem them bodily upon his return.
